Exceptional Thinking – Motivational Performance Coaching Training VIdeo Preview from Seminars on DVD

For more information about the full length version of this program, please visit: www.seminarsondvd.com In this peak performance training video, you’ll learn critical thinking skills that can help improve your results in several areas of life. Being exceptional means using thinking skills that go against the way many of us were programmed to think. We learned early on that failure, stress and obstacles are bad things, but that is not necessarily true. Top performers use stress and failure to propel themselves to their next level, so they approach setbacks with different thinking skills and a different mindset. Dr. Eliot has spent numerous hours working with top performers, studying their thinking skills, and figuring out what makes them great. In this interesting and story-filled program, he shares important principles from his findings that explain peak performance, and show you how to practice improved thinking skills. John Eliot, Ph.D., is a top speaker, author, and award-winning professor, specializing in thinking skills, business and psychology. He is on the faculty at Rice University, and is an adjunct professor at SMU Cox School of Business Leadership Center and the University of Houston. For nearly a decade, Dr. Eliot has been a consultant and trainer for business executives, professional athletes, and corporations, helping them tweak their business performance and personal productivity. His clients have included The Mayo Clinic, Adidas, NASA, the United States

Personal Development Coaching Guidelines

It is a natural instinct for a human being to want to improve himself or herself one way or another. It may be in his or her physical appearance. It may be in the form of behavioural changes. It may even be a change in personal outlook and lifestyle. The key to rediscovering and transforming into the new you, is to seek professional help. There are many personal development coaching sessions available out there, but to select the most suitable one for you, you need to have some guidelines.

If you would like to find out how to choose the best form of coaching for you, follow these simple tips:

- Ask yourself these questions: “What do I need?” “What changes would I like to see in myself these next couple of months?”

- Conduct your search online and read through the overview of the personal development coaching program.

- Take note of different programs and compare them side by side.

- Compare the program overviews with your own personal objectives. If they match, that means you’re ahead of your game.

- Take note of the speaker and his or her experience. Take a look at his or her profile and examine his or her credentials.

- Enter into this activity with an open mind. Do not limit yourself by only searching for one type of training program.

If you want to get the most out of your personal development coaching experience, then you should follow these tips. Remember that the search is just the beginning, what you do after the program is done will help seal the deal in your transformation.

Propel yourself Forward With Life or Business Coaching

What Coaching is and what it isn’t

Life or Business Coaching is designed for people that are truly ready, motivated and committed to create a successful life for themselves, or ready to take their business to a new level of success. A life or business coach is skilled in helping you make dramatic improvements every area of your personal or business life and holding you accountable for the changes you say you are committed to making.

Ten years ago, coaching was considered the new “fad” in personal and business development but now everyone from Fortune 500 executives to homemakers and small-business owners are taking advantage of the power in having someone on your team, in your corner…so you don’t sit on the bench.

A Coach is not a therapist. Although many Coaches are consultants, a true Coach is more than a consultant…a Coach is also a friend who can give you the “tough love” you need to make the hard decisions in your personal or business life. A Coach helps you focus on both the big picture and the task at hand so you can reach your end goals in a manageable, organized and methodical way.

A Coach is committed to your success ALMOST as much as you are (Hint: your Coach should NEVER be more committed to your goal than you are!). Your Coach is your personal expert, consultant, motivator, mastermind partner and cheerleader, all wrapped up in one powerful package, to help you realize your highest potential!

Most Coaches specialize but many are skilled in a number of areas. For example, a Life Coach may be focused on people in transition in their lives, whether career changes, divorce, loss of a loved one, etc. Business Coaches may be specialists too, perhaps focused on a specific area of business or a specific type of business.
Wherever you are in your life right now, if you are committed to success, whether personal or business, a Coach can help you get to where you want to go, faster, more efficiently, more profitably and with a greater degree of satisfaction.

While there are many ways Coaches work, there are also typically common areas of focus, particularly in setting and achieving goals. Depending on the structure, your Coach may give you homework to complete before the next session. A good Coach will “MasterMind” with you to help come up with ideas that you might not have considered working on your own.

There are entire books written about coaching, so I’m not going to try to cover the entire global subject of coaching in this short article, but I do want to share with you a little bit about how I coach my clients.

MasterMind Life & Business Design Coaching (personal or business or both)

Because I have a broad and varied background and have studied and worked in a number of areas throughout my life, I have a somewhat unique approach to coaching. I can bring insight into many areas, both on a personal, spiritual and business level and because I enjoy variety, I split my coaching time between business and life coaching, with a focus on what I call MasterMind Life & Business Design Coaching.

My typical client is an entrepreneur, or wants to be. This could be a small business or home-based business person (or both). He or she is interested in personal development and improvement. My clients typically have an open mind to new ideas and experiences and are willing to look at ways of creating success that might initially be a bit foreign to them.

Because the entrepreneur typically is in a constant state of balancing their personal and business lives, we spend time together co-creating a program to promote that balance of work and play that is so important in the lives of busy entrepreneurs. A large part of our coaching program is the MasterMind process, which essentially is idea development and execution. When two great minds get together working on solving the same problem, magical things can (and do) happen.

Seven Ways MasterMind Life Design Coaching Can Propel Your Personal or Business Life Forward Faster:

1. Help you to set realistic and achievable goals (Hint: Virtually EVERYTHING is achievable) in your business or personal life
2. Provide an organized structure to get you from where you are to where you want to be
3. MasterMind with you (and your business team, if necessary) to generate new ideas, and organized plans for executing on those ideas
4. Help you develop and automate your marketing and sales efforts for your business
5. Plug you into the MasterMind Network (yours and mine) to expand your contact base and the resources available to you
6. Hold you accountable for your own success
7. Teach you how the Law of Attraction and MasterMind process REALLY works so you can super turbo-charge your life or business by using it properly

I would like to invite you to explore coaching for yourself to determine if it is a structure that can help propel you forward in your own life.

I offer complimentary coaching sessions to serious people interested in charging forward in their lives and businesses.

You can apply for a session by going to: http://www.MasterMindMentor.com/coaching.html

Without a doubt, Coaching can be a major positive force in your life, but coaching is a relationship, so finding the right coach for you. Explore the options. There are a lot of great coaches whose primary goal is to assist you in creating the life that you want to live. Finding the right one will be a step for which you will thank yourself (and your coach) as you develop your greatest potential in life and business.

What Drives Personal Development Coaching

People are often faced with concerns that they may feel too overwhelming to handle or issues that they simply do not have the energy or the courage to face on their own. Therapists, counselors and psychologists have always been available to offer their services to those who need help finding answers. For some these methodologies may have worked. But there is a recent development that is catching the attention of many. It is personal development coaching or life coaching. Since its introduction, the industry has since grown and molded to a credible methodology.

Unlike the conventional method, coaching does not promise to provide the answers. Instead, it aims to enable you as a person to find the answers yourself, to make the right decisions and discover your own righteous path. Personal development coaching as a career option is also gaining popularity. It is not because it pays good money but because of the priceless rewards that helping others bring. And it is indeed a noble profession.

Many coaches have discovered their calling due to varied reasons. But most of them have the innate passion to see through and draw out the best in people. Most coaches have come from different backgrounds. They have switched to a career in personal development coaching simply because they have not found the same kind of self fulfillment from their previous job. It poses a good opportunity to widen one’s horizon and turn their lives into a more rewarding experience. Credible coaches are not motivated by money. It is immaterial. Ultimately, it is helping others grow that drive them.

Personal Development Coaching As a Career

With the development and introduction of a new method to self discovery in personal development coaching, the interest of people towards this field has also increased. Most people who join or develop a career in life coaching have been coached in the past as well. Driven by their desire to help others like they were helped, they want to share their knowledge and extend their arms to those who are reaching out for help. Many life coaches have become so because ultimately it is their choice.

For some people, choosing a career is something that involves money or financial gain. But with most life coaches it is about the rewards of self fulfillment being able to help others reach their full potential and becoming the best that they can be. In the process, coaches themselves learn from clients. Life in itself is an ongoing journey, a never ending process of self discovery. As a coach allows and helps a client reflect, enabling his/ her being to make his/he personal transition or becoming, the coach also learns from the experience. This is something that no amount of money can buy, it is simply priceless. To help someone grow, to help someone find their way back or find a direction in life is no doubt rewarding.

If you have the same passion for helping others rediscover their zest for life, you can consider a career in personal development coaching. If you feel that helping people ultimately gives you satisfaction and makes you happy just seeing them make progress then you may be called forth to be a coach.

Coaching Series: Create the Career You Want: A Non-Hyped App

Google Tech Talks January, 31 2008 ABSTRACT Professional satisfaction is a question of creating what you want, not just waiting for it to appear. This tech talk, by one of the country’s leading career coaches, shows how the process works. From my recent book: “The process of creating a life that works for you does not unfold logically. It proceeds in fits and starts, involves unlearning as much as learning, and requires you to push forward amidst ambiguity. You have to act before you’re ready to act, consider that your true interests and preferences might surprise you, and defer evaluation until you have collected a lot of evidence. You have to get out into the world, seek out new experiences and connect with new people. I try to stick to these principles not because they¹re always easy, but because I¹ve learned they work.” This tech talk will be an (entertaining and dynamic) introduction to the basic career- and life-planning principles that underlie this perspective. Speaker: Michael Melcher Michael Melcher is one of the country’s leading career coaches, and is a partner at Next Step Partners, a leadership development and executive coaching firm. With a blend of humor, sensitivity and professional acumen, he has helped hundreds of individuals develop their careers into personal platforms that are professionally fulfilling and personally meaningful.
